DELEGATION ORDER NO. NA-2024-NAI-LFO-01
TO THE MANAGER, LIVERMORE FIELD OFFICE
DELEGATION. Under the authority vested in me as the Under Secretary for Nuclear
Security/ Administrator and pursuant to section 2402( d) of the National Nuclear Security
Administration Act (50 United States Code) and the authority to grant exemptions to the
requirements in DOE Directives in Department of Energy Order 251.!D, Departmental
Directives, Appendix E, Equivalency and Exemption Process, I delegate to the Manager,
Livermore Field Office, the authority to approve equivalencies or exemptions to the
requirement(s) in DOE directives that are included in the management and operating
contract for Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
RESCISSION. None.
LIMITATION.
3 .1 In exercising the authority delegated in this Order, the delegee shall be governed
by the rules and regulations of the Department of Energy, the National Nuclear
Security Administration, and the policies and procedures prescribed by the
Secretary and Under Secretmy for Nuclear Security/ Administrator.
3.2 Nothing in this Order precludes the Under Secretary for Nuclear
Security/Administrator from exercising any of the authority delegated by this
Order.
3.3 Nothing in this Order shall be construed to supersede or otherwise interfere with
the authorities provided to the NNSA Administrator by law or delegation.
3.4 Any amendments to this Order shall be made in consultation with the NNSA
General Counsel.
4. AUTHORITY TO REDELEGATE. The Delegee may not delegate this authority fmiher,
in whole or in pmi.
5. DURATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
5.1 All actions pursuant to any authority delegated prior to this Order or any authority
delegated by this Order taken prior to and in effect on the date of this Order are
ratified and remain in force as if taken under this Order, unless or until rescinded,
amended, or superseded.
5.2 A copy of the final signed Order will be sent to the NNSA Office of Policy and
Strategic Planning, NNSA Directives Team.
5 .3 This Order is effective on the date of signature below and shall remain in effect
for 18 months afterward.
