JOHNSON ; oe ie CHIEF, DEFENSE NUCLEAR SECURITY SUBJECT: Promulgation of National Nuclear Security Administration Supplemental Directive 470.4-2 and Associated Implementation Instructions REFERENCES: (a) National Nuclear Security Administration Supplemental Directive 470.4-2, Enterprise Safeguards and Security Planning and Analysis Program, dated June 23, 2018 (b) National Nuclear Security Administration Implementation Instructions 470.4-2, dated June 2018 This memorandum and attachments provide the recently signed National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Supplemental Directive (SD), reference (a), and instructions, reference (b), for its implementation. The Implementation Instructions 470.4-2 prescribes the standardized process that must be used for conducting security risk assessments and vulnerability assessments, and for reporting risk within the NNSA nuclear security enterprise. In accordance with the SD, Contracting Officers are responsible for incorporating the Contractor Requirements Document of the SD and the Implementation Instructions into contracts in a timely manner upon notification of the SD’s applicability.
