DELEGATION ORDER NO. NA-2022-NA1-NA10-01
TO THE ASSISTANT DEPUTY ADMINISTRATOR FOR PRODUCTION
MODERNIZATION
DELEGATION. Under the authority vested in me as Administrator and pursuant to
Section 3212 of the National Nuclear Security Administration Act (50 U.S.C. 2402), and
in accordance with Department of Energy Order 413.3B, Program and Project
Management for the Acquisition of Capital Assets, | delegate the Project Management
Executive (PME) Authority for any Critical Decisions (i.e., CD-3A or subsequent CD-
3Xs) for Long Lead Procurements and/or site preparation for the Chemistry and
Metallurgy Research Replacement (CMRR) Project at the Los Alamos National
Laboratory to the Assistant Deputy Administrator for Production Modernization,
provided the expected cost for any individual CD-3X remains below $750 million. These
authorities encompass the project management aspects relating to the CMRR Long Lead
Procurement and Site Preparation Critical Decisions, except for those specifically
reserved for the Administrator.
RESCISSION. None.
LIMITATION.
3.1 In exercising the authority delegated in this Order, the delegate shall be governed
by the rules and regulations of the Department of Energy, the National Nuclear
Security Administration (NNSA), and the policies and procedures prescribed by
the Secretary.
3.2. Nothing in this Order precludes the Administrator from exercising any of the
authority delegated by this Order.
3.3 Any amendments to this Order shall be made in consultation with the NNSA
General Counsel.
AUTHORITY TO REDELEGATE. The PME authority as stated in this Delegation may
not be redelegated.
EFFECTIVE DATE.
5.1 A copy of this Delegation shall be provided to the Office of Policy and Strategic
Planning, NNSA Directives Team.
5.2. This Order is effective immediately.
